COACHELLA!!!!! 

Everyone has a bucket list. Maybe you break it down into daily goals, weekly goals, yearly goals... in 2024 I wrote "Official Coachella Merch Artist" under my 5 year bucket. I had seen names I loved such as Cristina Martinez and "Carrots" launch their collaborations year after year and I swore to myself, that will be me.

Fast forward to early this year, I find an email in my inbox with the subject "Coachella 2025". There's no way. I honestly couldn't describe to you the emotions that flew through me. I threw my laptop across the room in pure disbelief. I refreshed my page over and over and over. It was real. 

I want to thank the GV Black team for 1. believing and supporting my art and 2. supporting other POC artists and giving us the huge platform to showcase our work and our stories. To think I started my journey as an artist in 2020 just hoping for a couple views and likes online. And now here I am sitting in my living room wearing my Leoni's Studio 2025 Coachella Hoodie, writing this blog entry to you all. 

Now let's talk art. The piece I created was 100% inspired by black women because we are the blueprint. Our style, presence, and creativity is like no other. I saw myself and so many other women I love in this piece and I hoped for others to find a sense of comfort and familiarity. 

This milestone is one I'll be telling my kids about. I'm beyond proud of myself and so grateful for each one of you and the support that got me to this point.
